I cant find out how to take out the factory tape player from my 2000 dodge neon, Help, Thx THINK Replies (7) UKinstaller on 11/1/2004 18:43:44 from what i remember, there isn't too much to do. i THINK you have to pull out the ash tray and remove two phillips, then just pry the trim out along the radio and the whole piece should come out. if it feels tight, you're missing a screw. most dodge's are pretty easy, so you should be able to get it without too much of a problem -UK ttocs on 11/1/2004 19:12:41 on the newer models they liked to hide a screw behind the airvents also. Take a flat head screwdriver and put it between the side of the vent and the dash. Gently pry it and the vent should pop out. If it does not try the other side of the vent. Then there will be 2 10mm screws holding the deck in. 2fastxd on 11/2/2004 00:03:17 I know this aint got nothin to do wit car audio, but what do you think wut color graphics can go on a black neon, do u think read is good or silver or wut ever else, this is wut graphics I want to get but cant figure out witch color. http://www.azautographics.com/Evo8%20Design.htm 2fastxd on 11/2/2004 00:03:57 *red* UKinstaller on 11/2/2004 02:49:16 i say just leave it black, because graphics on pretty much any car are hideous. -UK uochronos on 11/2/2004 02:58:05 i agree with uk installer i think they look horrible.. not only do most look obnoxous right off but like a cheap paint job they look good at first but peel in a couple years. also they increase odds of theft and being pulled over or cited. if you look fast you well get more tickets, pulled over, and stolen from. i had a '93 probe looked fast as hell and fancy. i got pulled over 3 times in a year while not doign anything wrong. and got broken into 2 times also had multiple time of people following or taunting me... had my new vehicle for almost 2 years now a 2003 ford ranger. it is nicer newer and more expensive but it does not look fast or fancy. i have twice the amount of stereo stuff in it and no break ins. however with my opinion on that said. if you want good color combos. blak/white black/red black/yellow black/orange are the best combos in my opinion. also if you choose an accent colors getting trim, door handles, etc painted that color can make it look nice as well. you can usualy get small misc pieces profesionaly painted well for a couple hundred dollars if you take them off and bring them to them.
