I was wondering...I'm a SQ type of guy, but I also like and want my car to "bump", so what type of enclosure should I go with:

I know ported will make my sub loud and full of bass, while a sealed one will make the bass tight...but to have both, do i go with a ported or sealed? Will the IDMAX bump in a sealed enclosure w/ about 700-1000 W running to it?

sounds like u should go with a sealed box but make it a little bit bigger than the normal sealed box like a 3 or 4ft cubic box then you will still get tight bass and good sound quality

I have 2 type rs, can i make the box bigger for them like the rec. is 1sq ft, could i put it at 1.2sq. ft and get better aND LOUDER bass then a 1sq. ft box, sealed

the larger the box the less power the sub can handle. the sub can not be louder then xmax alow 2fast. now if your under powering subs you can build a larger box and get them to work to the full potential.

however if your giving the sub the proper amoutn of power building a larger box would get more low end but not make it louder a sub cant be louder then its xmax alows.
