Well...

To compare the JBL with Power Acoustic isn't really fair comparison. However the facts will lead you to lean towards the JBL monoblock over the Power Acoustic for a few good reasons.

1. The Power Acoustic amplifier is much less efficent as a class A/B amplifier which will pull a lot more amps from you're electrical system.
2. The Power Acoustic amplifier is pretty highly over rated you can exspect the power ratings which it states for the "RMS" ratings to be at the voltage of 14.4 which you're car cannot supply.
3. The Power Acoustic has a 18dB boost feature which should be an indicator to stay away from it. Using the boost which is most likly a must with this amplifier will cause less SQ and also add distortion to you're subwoofers.

So to anwser you're question in a more basic terms. The JBL amp would be a better choice even though there is the price difference. The JBL offer's underrated specifications which will allow you to push the subs to the maximum they can take safely. It will also do all this with using less current draw and less distortion which is something you would exspect when using a higher quality subwoofer.

Hey actually you can get the JBL bp600.1 for only $159.95 at cardomain.com
http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLBP6001Z
It's a "factory renewed amplifier" but it's "Tested and certified by JBL, this amplifier is in like-new condition, includes all original accessories (except for birth sheet), and features a full 1-year factory warranty"

(I got that from the website)

I probably shouldn't tell too many people about this cause I pan on getting one when I get the money for it and there's a limited amount of them GRIN

So when I get the amp JBL and the subs, put the rms control all the way up?

You need to do it by listening to the subwoofers a little more than just cranking all the knobs.

I am going to refer you to an FYI because it's an enormous amount of information you're asking for and Swez designed a article just for this reason!

if you have any questions about what he wrote i'll get back to you.

The amp of cardomain is a good idea and pretty darn cheap! I would of exspected it to be around 200 good deal!
