As in where in the trunk or what? Now that i see what kind of car you drive i understand your question. Ok you might have troubles finding a place since you have a 12. I dont know how much room or anything you have in the car but you can check crutchfield.com for custom built boxes specifically for your car if they have any. I know they make some for trucks and cameros. Or else you can make your own box. It will have to be a small sealed box and hopefully your sub doesnt have a big depth. THats all i can really help with. Take a look at cardomain.com and look and see if anyone has your car or something similiar with space like a camero and see what they did with there sub/s. asplundher on 10/29/2004 14:09:26 Exactly what are you asking? About techno music or your sub setup? swez on 10/29/2004 20:24:18 How about a spare tire mounted sub? Many use that when they want stealth, good performance and don't worry about the need for the spare tire. Newer tires and a can or 2 of Fix-a Flat would give an added margin of safety. Crutch may not have too much info to help on that old a car. But if you look at some of the Q-Logic pre-forms, it may give you a few ideas. Another option to consider might be a pair of 8" woofers. RF, Resonance Engineering and Adire Koda 8 are all fine subs in an 8" format. Just depends on the driver used, enclosure design and power to run them. Comments? Swez ttocs on 10/29/2004 23:09:07 8's hate techno bass............. Really really hate it........ swez on 10/30/2004 10:26:03 Say more about that last post ttocs... want to know the what and why nots' of 8" subs for techno bass tracks. Swez asplundher on 10/31/2004 07:51:38 I have to disagree with the latter. My favorite music: technobass, streetbass, electrofunk, etc. My favorite setup: two 8" Dayton Thrusters (older model) in about 1 cf each tuned down to 30hz. Result: Very deep bass with only a very small amount of degradation in definition. The low end justified everything else. Plus it was more suited for hip-hop as well. Simple fact: The design was less stressful on the amp in lower bass region. Got lower than tens in a sealed box. With the extra ouptut of being ported, most thought they was 10's at least. All this without a subsonic filter too! Opinion: One of, if not, the best sub setups I ever had. It was perfect for my little hatchback. Plan on trying it again with my Credence 8"s. ttocs on 10/31/2004 10:34:06 8's in 1cf each? Now way they could be clean..... Should have left them free air.... I use to listen to alot of techno when I had a system in back in the day. Tried everything from 6.5 bazooka's, then 8's in a sealed, then a single 10"(regular cab ranger). Techno is driven by its bass and would just generally not keep up on the 8's I had(JL). Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
