I have 2 memphis power reference 12" dvc subs in a slot ported box, this is to big for my new truck. Im tired of removing the box when the family needs a ride. I need help with 2 10" dvc subs that will not break the bank. and will sound as good as the 2 12" subs. My amp is a kenwood exceleron 811D 1000 watts at 1 ohm.

thanks

well a 10 in basics cannot sound as good as 12 simply because of the lesses cone area.. but id depends on what kinda 12's and 10's you compare..

how much do u want to spend??..

anyways check these out.. they are good 10" woofers i have installed for my customers..their order is NOT as per their ratings..you definitely need to give them all a look.. if not actually then atleast on the internet.

alpine typr r 10"

the pioneer premier TS-W1500SPL 10"subs

PowerAcoustic KSW10 10"

Kole Flat Woofer MFW10 10" a nice space saving desing..not a DVC

Kole Audio Woofer KDC10 10"

earthquake DBX-10DR 10"

earthquake SUBZERO-10

blaupunkt ODw1000,, another good space saving design..not a DVC.

kenwood KFC-XW1025dB

comments...??

the only 1on that list i would use is the alpine for the small area you have i would recommend using edisign audio subwoofers they are a new company that manufacture woofers for very small enclosures you can check them out at edisignaudio.com they ship factory direct and if you can wait a couple of weeks they will knock off alot of money you can get 2 tens for around $95 apiece

adire audio, alpine, JL, Elemental designs, resonant engineering, focal, rockford, etc. are all great amp brands. in a properly built ported box a 10" sub can get very good low end bass it well be a bit less loud then a 12 by like 4db or so but well sound good.
