OK, my brothers Head unit display (Pioneer Keh-P6800R) was flickering for a good few months until it finally died. MAD We found the problem to be severred wires to the face-off, which we replaced and fitted the stereo back.
Everythin is cool now (Some of the display which was missing after i dropped it once has even reappeared) BUT...
THINK
Every time you switch the ignition off the HU preset memory resets, so you loose the radio presets, CD position etc...
Did we miss something when we hooked it up, or is it to do with the repair?
PS The unit also seems to be heating up ever since, although we have had some hot wheather where i live. I've never really noticed, how hot are HU's supposed to get...?

check your voltages.. sounds like you have your constant and ignition switched...
