Hi, I was wondering if they are a good brand for car amplifiers. I'm looking at buying the Diamond Audio D5 1200.1...I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this amp or if its not good compared to some others, like Crossfire, Hifonics, or more recent Phoenix Gold?
I guess what I'm asking: are they high end amplifiers...and what others compare to them??

never had to deal with there amps but there subs are a great line. so i would assume that they dont make bad amps. i took a brief look at the specs. it looks like a good amp. mattering what your looking to spend on it.

Diamond makes some very high quality gear. This includes their speakers, subs and amps.
After looking more closely into this amp, yep... it's a quality product alright. Am sure the price tag reflects that as well.
Powering this beast of an amp will require a potent ALT/BAT power source. This amp can draw 117A at full output into a 1 ohm load. If you want to learn more about this amp, review the owner's manual carefully. It has some very good details on installation and setup as well as specs for the amp.
