Hey im new to this and want to know if i can hook up more than 4 speakers to a head unit w/ 4 speaker outputs.... can this happen or do i need something else? thanks

question is why would you want too? why not just upgrade the speakers you have instead of just adding more.

naw man don't do it. you can blow the speaker outputs on your radio. if you wanna add more than four, use an external amp.

ya the HU can only power 4 speakers well. anymore then that and it well either blow something or sound junky mattering how it is hooked up. if you want more then 4 speakers run an amp like UK said. although most people dont want more then 4 full range and a sub or 2....
