I just had my highs and mids installed they are pok six by nines and six and three quarters i have two kicker comp vr twelve inch subs with a 840 watt amp i am fixing to buy a 1500 directed amp and i was wondering if i put two 15 inch comp vr's in my ride if the highs would still sound good

With that much amping power to the subs and no additional amping of interior speakers, this system will be very bass heavy. Fine if you are a true "Basshead". Not so fine if you demand well balanced SQL sound.

Also, if the amp is a true 800 + watts (RMS) sub amp, it will demand a lot of current from the electrical system. Probably 60-80A of current will be needed at full output just to feed the sub amp. That most assuredly means a major electrical upgrade. (Ie: larger BAT and considerably higher ALT output) Are you prepared to shell out $500.00 on electrical upgrades to support this amp?

Do you have a link to that amp mentioned? Would like to review the specs on it. If it is the DEI 1500d, that amp can pull more than 100A of current, depending on the speaker load.

PS Hey guys, another amp maker that has Tripath Class T amp technology. The 1200t is a 2 channel Class T amp.
