need help selecting subs

I have a full system in my 99 intrepid except for the subs which blew out. I'm looking to replace them now and can't decide which subs will give me the best for my money. I have a kicker comp 350.4 amp going to 4 memphis audio speakers and then a sony xplod 50X4 watt deck. I have a rockford fosgate 801s punch amp that will be used for the subs. I am looking for 2 12 inch subs to fit in my box. It is a big box but depending on the subs i choose i will fill it to make it smaller. I was looking at subs and here are some that i have come across: crossfire P1 12d, alpine type R, Orion P4 D12. Those are just a few subs that i thought might be good. I am looking to spend between 250 and 300 on the set. Please let me know which one of these or any other subs would be best fitted with my amp and price range. Thanks

Just to make things easier..

What is the Cubic Feet per sub on the current box you have? This is a very important detail. If you're not sure.... than one of the golds will do some math for you but you will need to tell all the measurements. Also... What do you mean by fill the box... The only way to "fill" the box would be to do some difficult modifications. I am sure you will be able to find some subs that you like and fit the box specs.

The 801Punch amp:
200 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
400 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms
800 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms
Stereo or bridged mono output
4-ohm stable in bridged mode

So your budget here is 300 for a pair of subs? As Munchies stated whats the current stats on the enclosure? In my opinion you should allways make sure the enclosure is built to match the sub..not buy a sub to match the enclosure. The enclosure is KEY to how a subwoofer sounds, you can have the Sweetest driver and a poorly constructed enclosure and it will make it sound like crap.

Do you have your heart set on a dual sub setup? You would be VERY supprized at how much a single sub can put out in the correct enclosure with the 800available watts you have there and you can get a pretty good subwoofer with $300 compared to having to split the cost for 2. For every extra subwoofer you run..it only adds +3dBs therefor a single setup would be optimal for you.

Some brands that i reccomend are

Adire Audio (www.adireaudio.com)
Resonant Engineering (www.REaudio.com)
Alpine Type R or X (the X looks sweeeeeet)
Infinity
Elemental Designs
