Has anyone here heard one of the new alpine type X subs? if so how do they sound? SQ?SPL? how would you compare them to an adire brahma?

i heard a type-x 12 with an alpine MRDM1001 amp pushing it, and it was absolutely ridiculous. I would say the SQ is not quite equal to that of a W7, but the SPL sure is, maybe a little louder. i have never heard an adire brahma. either way, the type-x rocks. it is awesome.

well i think we can all agree its hard to beat the SQ od a W7... i tried finding a place here in my town with a Type X on demo but they all say they can order them but dont carry them normaly.
just wondering because i'm going to be getting a brahma relativly soon. but i like alpine alot and may go with a type X. if i can get to hear one first.

yeah the only reason i heard it is because there was some guy that built an all alpine system that lives in indiana that came to show some of the stores in louisville his car. i don't remember why he did, but either way, i got to hear it and recommend it to anyone with the appropriate funding.

from the 3 i was choosing from RE, ED, and Adire are all more expensive by 50-100$ then the type X so if i can get to hear one i may go with one.

I really want to hear one also, they look like one MONSTER of a subwoofer...simply a beast GRIN let me know whats up with one if you hear it
