10 Awg good?

Hello!

I am running JBL 1200.1 monoblock, with R/T 1.75cf per sub dual 15" box, with two Phoenix Gold Ti15d subwoofers.

The sub's keep overloading the amplfier and it resets quickly. It's not overheating but I believe it's a problem with the awg wire used from the subs to the box and the box to the amp.

I am going to upgrade to 10awg. possibly 8awg what do you think?

I also want to upgrade my ground wire to 4awg from 8awg. It was a cheaper ground that came with 4awg from the battery and a D-block to switch to 8awg.

8guage wire to your speakers is insanly over kill.... i run 12gauge and have no problem....and i'm running a 1200 watt RMS amp.

if your amp is going into protect mode there is a problem bigger then the guage wire. here.
