Im looking at speakers online, and they say Coaxial speakers. Does that mean you can hook them up with just normal speaker wire already ran in the car? Or is it something different? Replies (2) uochronos on 09/13/2004 01:59:55 there are 2 differnt common types of speakers coaxil and components. 2,3,4way speakers are coaxil. and then compoenents. swez on 09/13/2004 08:56:37 Coaxials are usually a speaker (MB) with integrated tweeter and maybe a MR element as well. Some even add a "super tweeter" to the package and that is commonly called a 4-way coaxial. For best sound performance in clarity and quality, a good 2-way system (Components) are great up front. If the price is out of your budget for Comps., then a quality pair of 2/3-way coaxial speakers will work to most folks liking. The majority of what the driver hears comes from the front speakers and subs. The rest can be rear fill speakers in the back. That's a personal preference and we can choose full range (2/3-ways) in back or MB speakers (no tweeters) only. Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
