I got a extreme sound mp3 player hooked up in my explorer right now, and I have a performace Teknique 7 inch lcd screen I want to hook up. it wont hurt anything if I run them both off the same car power wire and grounds and speakers and stuff?

first off never use the stock ground you want a bare metal ground to the body of the car for both of them.

i wouldnt advise using the power wire for both especialy in an older car... i would run a second wire or run a larger wire for both of them..

as for running them to the same speaker should be no problem the main thing i see if if both the HU and the Screen playing to the speaker at the same time it would problay damage something.

i think most lcd screens can plug into the HU and then paly threw the speakers that way.

you where not realy descriptive on what exactly you have as in is this just a LCD screen or LCD/DVD type unit. but this should get you point in the right directions.

Okie, I hooked it up last night, can I just put a screw into the back of the CD player and use that as a ground? Also, I hooked it all up into the same speakers, and it works... BUT, when the car is turned on, if i turn the cd players volume past 80, the front speakers shut off, and just my 12 is playing... what's doing that?

And it's just a in dash tv screen, no dvd player or anything.

no a screw in the back of the CD player is not a good idea for any ground.

but the cd player and any other aftermarket equipment needs to have its own ground stright to the body of the car. not to a metal braket or a dash peice but strieght to the body.
