What do you guys think of these tweeters? Will they help for vocals .. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14943&item=5720070046&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Replies (2) uochronos on 09/12/2004 03:38:41 instantly i'm wary fo it since it has a built in crossover... most tweeters and components have a seperate crossover thats where they get alot of there better sound from. MA audio CDT audio and many others all my tweeters. a friend of mine bought a set fo MA audio tweeters 50$ and they sounded amazing. they are TI dome's so they are a bit brighter then Silks but they arnt as harsh as some metal domes i have hear. i would look around see if you can find a set of those for 50$ or less those would really brighten up any systems high end. swez on 09/12/2004 17:03:06 Hard to say what these can do for you. They are rated at 200 watts... yeah, RIGHT!!! We have no crossover data or frequency range for these tweets or what materials are used in them. Could be cheap Piezo-electric tweeters which sound horrible for SQ applications. Loud yes, but not something to please the discerning ear. Also, depends on the mids you have now in that area. Some MB/MR do a good job going up to 3,000 - 5,000 Hz. Most MB drivers have less HF extension than less robust MR speakers. In any case, this is simply a crap shoot. Can you return them if you don't like them? Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
