Seems Walt Hargrave lost his roof last week from the Hurricane. The storm path was very close to Lake Okeechobee and that's where Walt is.

He's alright... just no roof or power and probably a fair amount of water damage too. Send him a PM if you wish to offer your comments.

Am wondering if we could strike up a "relief fund" for Walt to help replace some of his losses? (get back on his feet support)

Comments? USFLAG

i would definatly chip in what i can to help walt out... good to know he is ok though and it was just property damage.. i really love living in oregon when i hear about huricans, tornadoes, etc... i think the most drastic wheather we get is a ice storm every 3 or 4 years.

anyway let me know about setting up a "relief fund" for walt.

Hey guys! Thanks for the concearn but really we are ok. I am a renter and the owner ahs the room temp fixed for the momment and will get a new Metal roof soon. It hurt me a little finaically mainy due to living a bit out of work and buying emerency stuffs but in no means strapped for money.

Thank you for the kindness. My power is back on . Internet came on this afternoon and I have really learned what is means to have the simple things in life. I will never forget what it is like being without running water and power for 4 days. Wow, we really take these things for granted.

Thank you again, Walt

OK, guess the main thing is that you (WH) are OK and can recoupe your losses. If you have renter's Insurance, make a detailed list of all losses and submit them to your insurance company. They'll make good on replacing lost or damaged goods including food, clothing, electronics gear and most anything else within reason.

Good luck and God Bless, USFLAG
