Im having some trouble taking out the old stereo that came with the 1992 Honda Accord I just purchased. Is anyone familiar with these cars? I can only find two screws, and they are right beneath the heater/ac knobs. It doesnt seem like side panels pull out at all. Its looking like a real pain to install the new CD player.

there is a screw way in the back, where the ash tray pulls out of. it's pretty hard to see.

It is mounted in the back of the deck. If you stick your head on the floorboard of the pass or drivers side, and look up at the back of the dash, you will see two silver screws. It can be hard to see because of the ventwork sometimes but they are there. Once removed the deck will slide out from the front as if its a pullout, unless the hrns gets snagged, as it likes to..

I personally have found that a very long 1/4 inch extension with a 7mm swivel proves to be of great help on most hondas

i had a wiggly jiggly that used to work well for me, otherwise a right angle driver can help.
