Hi there i was reading the fourm and i was woundring if my amp has a LPF for the sub .. how will the box get tuned THINK .. so only the vented/ ported enclousers get tunned or even sealed .. and how can i tune it to a certain HZ ... ????? and what's my limits many thanx Replies (1) P0werLifter on 09/1/2004 13:00:34 Sealed enclosures do not need to be tuned, but Vented/Ported enclosures do...heres the article in your DIY section on how to tune your enlosue http://www.clubknowledge.com/Car_Audio_FAQ/?t16 The equation might seem complicated, but its not GRIN. You can tune it to any frequency you wish, most people tune to 30-40Hz. Remember, If your Amplifier does not have a SubSonic Filter ({SSF}) you will need to purchase one to filter out any hz below your PTF (Port Tuned Frequency). If you do not run a SSF you run the risk of damaging your subwoofer if it goes below the PTF. -Jason Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
