It may not be the best sub in the world but as a center piece for that price whos going to complain? Look at the bottom of the page http://nexxon.com/specials/specials1.htm Replies (6) Swez on 06/9/2003 20:07:25 Yep, Nexxon carries some pretty fine gear huh? Cannot get thigs like that in the UK and even if you could, it costs a fortune right? Swez PS Well, all that glitters is not gold either... we have lots of options here, except the economy is very weak at the moment. I guess that is a relative term though. Some other countries have it much harder then our worst days. -dan- on 06/9/2003 21:30:07 i would be looking at around £2000 thats about $3000 for one of those, ohh well, on with the design of my stealth SPL car (it wouldn't have been n e good for me n e way (he says trying to make himself feel better)) :) Relax_The_Mind on 06/10/2003 00:39:21 yeh...my cousin in france brought over a couple car and audio magazines...they charge like 4 times as much for "USA" brand audio stuff. it was mostly mtx stuff anyways. MTX making a killing in sales around the world. my friend has MA Audio everything. his 3000w amp is nice but the competition sub isnt so great. for buying overseas people buying overseas (in france that i know of) there is like 3 big taxes when you want to order from the US. I think you would be better off trying to get someone here to buy it that you can trust and get them to ship it to you 'ship'ped. i dont know exactly how that works. RTM its past my bedtime.....zzzzz Swez on 06/10/2003 08:57:45 Anyone have any ideas on how to "broker" goods from USA and provide reasonably priced products to our UK brothers? Not that we can bypass Customs and other regional Taxes... but a legal way to ship goods from USA to the UK? Swez -dan- on 06/10/2003 16:39:24 as far as i know the only legal was to avoid the 22.5% Tax is to fly over to the US and bring the items back yourself for personal use. Apart from that the only way is to pay 22.5% to the gouvernment (gready gits). Ohh well, if anyone else does have a suggestion which does not involve me flying to the US please post it cheers dan Swez on 06/11/2003 07:33:01 You are not alone Dan... we get lots of guys from the UK, Australia and Canada coming here for information. They all complain about the costs of buying US made gear in their home countries and the huge impot duties and taxes make it tough to order goods from the US and ship abroad. Am trying to figure out legal, but a reasonable means to obtain US goods and send them elsewhere without getting gouged by high import fees and such. So far, we have not been able to establish a way of doing this both legally and cheaply. Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
