Hi, I need some help in wiring my system. I have a Sony 760w 2 channel amp and 2 12" Kicker Comp VR 4 ohm DVC Subwoofers. If someone could tell me what the best way to wire the subs and amp for the most power it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Replies (4) ryan on 06/7/2003 22:47:42 if you are able to bridge your amp then i would say you should wire your subs in parallel for a 2ohm load. Do you know how to wire them in parallel or do i need to explain more? mschrems on 06/7/2003 22:53:53 i know how to but the amp says the speaker impedance is 4-8 ohm bridged or 2-8 ohms stereo. ryan on 06/7/2003 22:58:54 I wouldnt be the one to ask on that one but i say it wouldnt be a good idea to wire them parallel. Just leave it as a 2-channel. But wait for blitz, swez, toccs, or any one with a medal to answer that cuz im not to sure. Swez on 06/8/2003 08:06:46 The easiest way to wire your system is 1 sub per channel, 2 channel mode. Simply parallel wire each VC on subs A & B, the you'll have 2 ohms per sub. If you have any questions on wiring a DVC in parallel, just check the Kicker site for details. They have diagrams to help you... very easy this way. You can bridge the amp and do a series/parallel configuration to get a 4 ohm load as well. But the 2 channel option is easier and get the same power too.
