Multimeter & Test light... finding wires.

This may be the easiest thing in the world to some of you guys, but how am I supposed to test power & ground wires with the multimeter.

I know that with the test light, you're supposed to find a ground, but how do you do that inside the cabin?

I can't seem to find the correct switched power wire, nor can I find the antenna wire... how am I supposed to tell the difference between the two if I do find them?

Erg.

you can connect it to many places depending on the vehicle. If you want to make it real convienent, go to a auto parts store and buy(or grab one if you have one laying around) a male cig lighter plug. Connect the wire that you normally ground to the terminal on the ouside of the plug. You can also look in the following places

open the door and find a bolt
under dash
radio chassis while plugged in
some antennas
ect.

You do not need much of a ground to light the light.

If you are looking for a ground wire, hook the end you normally ground to a +12v constant(cig lighter) and now if the light lights, it is a ground wire.
