I am installing a CD receiver with only 2 speakers connected to the receiver. The receiver calls to have 4 speakers installed. Although the stereo works with only rear speakers installed, I'm affraid I might blow the amp. Is there anything I can connect to the front speaker terminals to trick the receiver that speakers are connected. FYI this install is in a boat not a car. Thank you, Rob Replies (2) Geezer on 08/22/2004 19:20:09 To the best of my knowledge, you won't hurt the reciever by not connecting the second set of speakers. You can run into trouble connecting too many speakers, but it shouldn't be a problem if you don't use all the leads available. I have done this many times in a car. ttocs on 08/22/2004 22:24:16 he is correct, as long as the speaker wires are insulated. If there is no speakers, there is no circuit, no problems. And looking into my crystal ball I will answer your next q? No you cannot bridge the decks amp.......... Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
