This amp is 1 ohms stable and 600 watts RMS. At 2 ohms, it's only 400 RMS. To get max potential out of this amp, a pair of 4+4 DVC's are needed. The Shivas are 8+8 DVC's and full parallel nets 2 ohms. That's an easy target for most Class D amps as few are rated at 1 ohm stable. Kicker KX600.1 comes to mind too. ($345.00) http://audio-n-more.com/Kicker/kicker_amplifiers.shtml That site sells the BP-600.1 as well. $255.00. http://audio-n-more.com/jbl/jbl_amplifiers.shtml Here's a very good deal on MA Audio mono amp. It's 800 RMS @ 2 ohms and the Shivas can handle that power too. http://www.audionmore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=ANM&Product_Code=M1889i $189.00 That is a deal! Swez sounds on 08/22/2004 17:56:18 I'm still planning on getting the BP600.1 for my shivas. A friend of mine purchased two MA Audio subs which are 4ohm DVC and was looking for a good amp to use and we found the 600d and just wanted to make sure it was a good amp.
