my car stereo stopped working when the car is running. It works fine if I have the key turned but as soon as I start the car it stops working. Please Help

that would be a strange one.......... You need to pull the deck and check for voltage(voltmeter or test light) on each of the wires. The only thing I can think of is that you are using your switched wire as a ground?

I can't remember exactly except for when you try to start a volkswagon once and it don't you have to turn it back of then back on for it to work. If I remember correctly that's the problem it either takes away your ground or if you have daytime runnig lights when the car is in the run position you may have used your dimmer wire for a ground
