1980 Chevy Citation

I am trying to install a new pioneer cd stereo in my 1980 Chevy Citation. The new stereo calls for a 12 volt accessory wire and a 12 volt battery wire. My original GM Delco AM only radio has a ground and an accessory wire. Where do I connect the 12 volt battery wire too? I found a wire diagram on a different site that said the 12 volt battery wire should be orange, but I don't see one going into the old wiring harness. I have a yellow ( accessory), a black (ground), a grey (headlamp dimmer?), and 2 green wires ( mono front speaker). Can I just leave the battery wire disconnected or can I connect it to the accessory wire? Thanks for your help.

did you cut the harness or get an adaptor? if you get an adapotor plug it well make it easier... there has to be a constant i would think or you would not have any presets or clock on the stock radio...

if not you can run a wore from the battery to the deck and just fuse it...

alot of older cars also have some electrical hitches newer cars dont.one of are resident installers ttocs, or cpkittle can probaly tell you mroe in the morning.

Hit the fusebox, there should be open terminals labelled battery er something.
