Amp Help

Alright, I have a Kicker 500si Two channel amp, and two 12" Audiobahns. I bought me a wiring kit from wal mart, for a 700 to 1400 watt amp, got it all hooked up and everything. I barely get any bass. You cannot hear it outside the car. I had a MTX 320 watt amp, which would hit louder then the kicker. What I need to know is hows the best way to hook it up? And does anyone know how to bridge it... ALSO, the radio I have is a Performace Teknique 5 inch in dash TV and its hooked to a PS2, and if I get the volume to loud, the PS2 will shut its self off... Any ideas on whats wrong? Thanks in advance.

Which Bahn subs do you have and are they single or dual coils?

Model number please.... this will help us help you.

Many Bahn subs have flame style baskets and dual coils. We need the specific model number like:

Audiobahn AW121T

Does your subs look like this one?

PS It matters a lot that we know the specs (and model #) so you can get the most punch from the subs w/o damaging the amp.

do the subs have a model number printed on the magnet or somewhere on the underside? you seem unsure of which ones you have. bahn makes many many models and if we aer looking at the wrong one your set up isnt going to sound right.

AW1251T, thats the model...

this amp and subs combo is very compatible actualy...

the 500si is rated at 425watts RMS at 2 ohm per channel

the sub is 400watts RMS and dual 4 ohm Voice Coils.

now this is how the speakers should be wireed to the amp

take sub #1 and run a wire from one of its positives to the other positive then run a wire from that positive to the positive on one channel o the amp. then do the same with the negitive terminals..
and repeat with sub #2 using the other channel on the amp. that should give these subs 425watts of power to each sub and they should pound very nicely.

So I go from the positive on oneside to the positive on the opposite side and then from that to the amp? cause its got like this on both sides, + + - - and then the same on the other side...

both positives on the sub should be wired together and both negitives should be wired together then from there to the + and - on one channel of them amp. and what you said in teh first part of your statement above is 100% right. infact i well give you a link of a picture of this idea

http://www.phoenixgold.com/tutorial/one_DVC.htm

you well want to do it like shown in "Option 2, parrelel wiring"
