Well, that's a tall order to fill as far as subs go. In most cars and midsized SUV's a pair of 12's or 15's should be plenty of bass power. Having both in such a confined space will be a serious drain on your wallet and electrical system to power them. Not to mention the added weight.

You can easily get Concert level SPL (+120dB) and SQ from a good set of 12's and a decent amp. (600 -1200 watts RMS) will be plenty and costly too. Alpine, JL, Infinity, eDesigns, Rockford, Adire and many others make very good subs at moderate prices.

As for amps, use a Class D or T MONO designs as they use less power than traditional 2 channel amps. Much more bang for the buck too. Here, JBL, HiFonics, Orion, Phoenix Gold, PPI, RF, Kicker and many others will fill the bill. A 600 watt RMS amp will net about 135 dB of SPL. A 1200 watt amp will generate almost 140 dB.

An amp of that size... (1200 RMS) will pull 100A of current from your electrical system. That usually means electrical upgrades as the vehicle needs about 50A. of current to operate alone. If you add a decent 4 channel amp to the mix for mids/highs... there goes another 40A of power draw to drive that amp. Are you willing to make that much of an investment just to power all this stuff? (say 150-200A alt and a larger CCA rated BAT?) These alone will set you back about $350.00 plust the audio gear costs.

Think it over before you dive in head first into a shallow pond. (limited $$$)

thanks the car stuff and parts isnt really a concern my brother is a mechanic so most of my stuff is free or cheap the subs and stuff are just what i was interested in but thanks again for the help

Sure... nice deal having a bro that can get parts cheap.

So, how much are you willing to budget for the audio gear in this rig? That will help us lock in on components (subs, amps) to recommend in your price range.

well i didnt really have a price in mind cuz i buy alot of off ebay i wanted to know what was good wiht out going crazy i mean i dont wanna spend 2000 gs for an amp lol that would be nuts i have a friend that is selling a juggarnaut sub 15inch and i beleive he said it was 3000 watts rms i was thinking on buying it he wants 350 for it and its like 5- or more years old is this a good deal and what amp could i use to power that

a 3000watt sub if that is what this is is extremly power hungry you can get just as high of volume with newer brand new gear that well only take around 800-1000watts. elemental designs for one has several 1000watt subs for under 200$ brand new with 3 year warranty,.

not to mention with a 3000watt amp you would be pulling 280amps or so just from one amp thats looking at a 320amp alternator at least thats around 500$ just for the alternator... and thats on the low side i was qouted 590$ for one for my truck and that was barely over cost because i know the guy building it.

really 3000watts isnt a goo way to go unless your are in compitition and even then they only run them for a few seconds.

also 350$ for a 4 year old sub i really over priced i would say... since most newer subs you can get for under 400$ even most JL subs.

honestly i would get a new sub for that price. one that handles 400-800watts rms well get you really loud in the right box and set up right.

remember every time you double the wattage you only gian +3db of sound at high volumes thats hardly noticable. a 3000watt sub is only around +4db louder then a 1000watt sub. and that also matters how effiecient the sub is.

If you are looking for SQL i would recommend 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1s with an Infinity Reference 610a mono amplifier. The 610a amp is basically the JBL 600.1 amp because JBL and Infinity are a combined company. The amp has 657 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms (CEA-2006 Compliant) and a LP and SS filter. The subs are 1400w peak and 350w RMS each with 96dB sensitivity.

As for the box, choose either ported or sealed. A ported box would be louder then a sealed box but a sealed box would be more accurate (better SQ).

You can get the 2 subs and amp for $539.97 total at Crutchfield (with the current deals).

Infinity is a good sub as are Alpine and many others too. I don't think the Juggernaut is a great option for that price if it has been well used.

NOTE: The Infinity subs are rated at 96dB @ 1w/1m, but this is an in car rating. To normalize that number, you'd be more in the mid-high 80's dB @ 1 watt. Still, a very capable sub however.

May I suggest you pick the size woofer(s) you want and power handling. Then we can give you a list of quality SQL subs. Knowing the amp you wish to use is helpful as well. Then we can match the amp load recommendations VS what subs to buy.
