i like my factory headunit that came with my new car. Can i install a sub and amp without getting a new headunit??

Yes you can.
You can actually just purchase an amp that has the ability to have High Level hook-up, ( speaker level ) and you can give the amp the audio siganle through speakers on the rear deck or what have you, which ever is closest to the amp.
You could also purchase a Hi-Lo level convertor and go that route, i reccomend having a shop install it for you, if you are not familliar with your vehicle or are not sure if you want to do it yourself, if you choose to do it your self we can help you.
But we will need some info first.
Type of car year and all , premium sounds system or not.
Type of amp and sub desired to install, and location wished to install at.
