It was sold as a set, (subs, amp and box) sony 280 gtx,10 inch subs and dual enclosure box.

If you bridge the amp and use a 2 ohm load (a pair of 4 ohm woofers in parallel) the amp will probably go into protect a few times when playing it hard. Could damage the amp as well.
