ok i have been having some issues with my midrange just not sounding right and I think it is just not any back preasure on the cone at higher SPL because my door pannels haev alot of holes in them.

so i emailed CDT about enclosure specs and the guy said one about .3 cubic feet would do wonder.

so on crutch field they have the foam baffles there is one that is 6.5 inch and 3.25 deap now is that enclosure .15 cubic feet? thats what i got but that seems like the wrong number? any one care to work the numbers and let me know if or what i did wrong hehe.

also anyone know where i can get a larger enclosure?

the speakers are mounted in a 6x8 hole so i can use up to that size foam baffle i suppose.

lol i worked it out now and a .3 cubic foot enclosure is way to big to fit in my door... damn Pi it gets me everytime hehe.

anyway tghe biggest i can fit is the 6x9 enclosure which is .15 cubic feet. any takers one how this well affect speaker sound.... or is just dynamating my whole door going to make this better then the enclosure? i was going to do that anyway but because of cost(refer to my other post) i was looking for a more reasonable way to do it.

Common probem with low response MB drivers... not enough airspace to get them to play lows properly. The .15cf will help, but rolling off the deeper lows will be the result. But since you have subs, a MB/MR that is somewhat efficient at 80 Hz., should be doable. This speaker does not need to go below 80 Hz., if you use subs. A smaller enclosure should work. Don't be afraid to try stuffing the baffle with some polyfill....

Actually, this is why many switch to kick panel designs. Larger enclosure, on the floor, no doors to mess with etc. Yes, they are about $60.00 each... but less labor makes them a good time saver and usually superior to door mounted designs. And you can reemove them when you sell the truck too.

Think it over and save yourself some aggrevation. SMILE
