Bought a pair of 10" JL W3's in a box and a pioneer DEH-2300 deck real cheap off a friend. I need to know what kind, and maybe even where i can find the proper amp. Also wondering how difficult it is to do myself. I'd like to do it just for the fun of it but i don't want to dig myself too deep. Thanks for the help.

~ Do you know if you have the dual 2ohm, 4 ohm or ohm subwoofer? This is important to know when looking for an amplifier.

When looking for an amplifier you need to look at the RMS wattage, not the max power same goes with sub woofers. According to the specs, the RMS wattage ({continious power wattage) for these is 300watts each. 300x2 = 600watts rms amplifier to push these subs to the spec but you can run less power to it as long as its CLEAN non distorted power.

Once we know if you have the 2,4, or 6ohm version we will be able to help you look for an amplifier to suit your needs.

Have you put in the subwoofer enclosure in your vehicle to make sure it fits correctly? and do you know if the sub enclosure was built to the JL audio specs by chance?

Installing subwoofers and the components are pretty easy just need to make sure you have everything planned b4 u start =) We will guide you along and help you whenever u need it.
