i just installed a sub system in my mustang last night. facotry system but i added the subs, 2 jl audio 10" subs and a phiniox gold tantrum 300.2 amp. well i installed it all and the subs hit great but when i turn it barly half way all 4 speaker crackle really bad

Where are you getting the signal from? More then likely you hit it at the back of the deck, and are either wiring into the high level inputs on the amp, or are using an line out converter(loc), same differenence. The input on the back of the deck is a low level signal going into the factory amp. Cut the end off of the RCA cables and connect to the amps rca inputs. The other option is to bypass the factory amp with either an aftermarket headunit, or an aftermarket amp. Decks are easy but most people do not want to loose the 6 disk indash........
