I just bought a Clarion DXZ845MDC for my 2001 Hyundai Elantra. I don't have the first clue to what I need to buy. I know that I have to buy wires and a harness but that's foreign language to me. Can anyone help?

to place the new cd player in your car will you have to fabricate the dash setup at all (trim edges or cut out dividers). probably not since its a newer car. its pretty simple, once you buy your wiring harness alls you need to do is solder or crimp those wires to the coresponding wires on the plug that leads out of your clarion head unit. once that is done alls you do is unplug the factory head unit, and plug the new one in. i would recommend using the non factory ground unless you do not intend to upgrade to amps /subs/speakers. ect.... another thing to look for is the anteana, they come in two sizes a large pin and a small pin. your vehicle may have one and your head unit may have the other. very cheap adapter can be had at local audio shop or even walmart and radio shack carry them. an installation kit will make the job look nice and custom, they really make the job look nice, can be bought for under 20 dollars. other than that everything else should be good to go. if ya have any problems just let us know we are here to help. good luck.
