I dont think its blown, the fuse is intact and all but like, when I attach the power wire to the battery it sparks and it still doesnt light my amp up. i cant figure out whats wrong with it if anybody can help post or aim MaNiAcChiLd951 thanx Replies (2) P0werLifter on 07/19/2004 01:52:49 Have you checked your Remote wire to see if its connected and wired correctly? is everything grounded properly?...The fuse on the amplifier might be ok but did you check the Fuse on your power wire that should be close to the battery? its very possible that is blown if you had a short somewhere during the install? check all that and make sure everything is in good condition. If that isnt the problem im sure one of the other guys will be around her soon. Goodluck bro Jason Munchiesyumm on 07/19/2004 02:54:34 Well... You really should NOT be connecting the power wire to you're amplifer when it has current running through it.. Think about it.. An amplifier is made out of sensitive electronics a surge of power can destroy everything. Always disconnect the power wire from the batter or TAKE OUT the fuse for the power wire. This is easiest and saves time and money. Check the fuse on you're power wire, and make sure you have a solid ground and that you're ground wire is around 2 - 4 feet long a bad ground can keep an amp from turning on. Check every single connection going to the amplifier, power wire (both ends), RCA's, remote wire, GROUND, and all fuses. Best of luck to you! Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
