The 2 most useful wiring combinations would net 2.66 ohms or 6 ohms.

1. Wire each sub for 8 ohms, (series) then all in parallel for 2.66 ohms

2. Wire each sub for 2 ohms, (parallel) then all in series for 6 ohms

3. If you have a HC amp, can do full parallel for a net of 0.666 ohms

Am sure you know these already,

yeh i was just checkin myself thanx and those edesigns look awsome but they are recomended for small enclosures.are all sq subs rated for small enclosures?i was kinda lookin for something that would do well in a medium sized ported enclosure

Well, many newer sub makers have learned how to manipulate their products to work in smaller enclosures for a reason... cargo space is limited in many smaller cars and PU trucks.

So, a smaller box is a good option. Marketing them as such, makes even more sense. But really, if you look at the overall numbers range of most popular subs today, they all give some latitude in enclosure size. The basics are still the same:

Large box = loads of deep bass, not much punch & lower power handling

Small box = lots of punch, not much deep bass and more power handling

Said medium size, ported enclosure right? How many cf is medium sized for your needs?

you have plenty of room in an avalon, and plenty of room to fill. the front and rear doors if I remember are 6.5 componants. They use a better then average(for oem) nakamichi speaker usually, but there is room for improvement.. have you considered 12"s?

i want something that will perform well in about a 2 2.25cf/ea box
yeh they were nakamichi 4" components and they sounded great[believe it or not they were factory amplified] they just werent loud enough i upgraded to all jbl coxials and yes i have considered 12's i was checkin out the edesigns but i will have to wait till i come up with some money or something cheaper 1 other sub i was considering for a 1 sub application is the image dynamics Idmax 12" but it only holds 600rms and my amp is rated at 720w rms and thats saying it conservativly i know its seen alot more than that i took 1 solobaric 10 to comp and hit 138.6dbs bridged at 2ohms through steel[an avlon has a steel suspension brace behind the rear seat] ive seen people with 800 watts and 2 12's not hit that
