first off, i wanna praise all those who helped me when i first came to this site, swez and ttocs, who seem to be quite the geniuses of car audio, secondly, i wanted to tell swez, that i finally got my stuff, after bugging him and other with so many questions, i bought my kappa perfect 12's and a kicker class d mono amp, i bought my kick panels with kappa 6.5's and 6x9's in the rear, i put it all in my truck and it sounds great, alot better than what i had in there before. so I thank all those who have helped me, and in my opinion, this is one of the best audio forum's on the web. Thanks again guys.....-KP CLAP Replies (7) swez on 07/14/2004 11:10:24 Atta boy Tinker... glad you made out so well and good work too! CLAP Swez PS Got any spare change left to donate to the web site? We are not getting much income to support Walts' costs of late. Don't want to lose this site again, due to funding issues huh? ttocs on 07/14/2004 19:15:48 thanks for the shout out. I enjoy helping people as I remember how hard it was to learn (threw ALOT of sparks) on my own. This board is supported alone by walts hard work, and the few cents we can chip in from time to time. Please stick around as I am sure it is only a matter of time before you want to add or change something. What kind of alarm do you have????????? Tinker18 on 07/15/2004 20:19:48 actually, swez, i came out with just under one dollar and fifty cents left. but with my job now, im making good money for an 18 year old, so i ought to be able to pitch in soon. how do i do it? and to answer ttocs, my truck has an alarm, im not sure what brand, but, my radio has a detach face, my sub boxes are bolted down with eight grade- 8 bolts, and so is my amp. the kick panels, are the only thing really removable from my truck, in a quick amount of time. but i plan on upgrading my alarm soon. not going to loose all that money in the audio. thanks again guys -KP swez on 07/16/2004 08:55:25 There's a "Make a donation" button below the make reply box. Can use pay-pal, credit card or just send a check or money order to Walt Hargrave. You can send him a private Club mail for additional details. I just send him checks when I have the spare cash. Just don't want the site to go down again due to lack of funds. When you consider how much $$ we save by DIY and the help we get here to do that... $20.00 is a very good return on the investment. When you can, as you can... please consider the donation as a future investment in other folks that come later... As with all worthy things in life, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Somebody has to pay the tab and it's not fair to put all costs on Walter. He does a great job Admining the site and upgrades too. Swez racerbizoehm on 07/16/2004 10:47:46 once I get my job you'll get a donation from me swez on 07/16/2004 16:59:25 Wonderful guys... if you want all this free help, we need your help too. Not asking to break the bank or anything.. just hang on to your pocket change for a month... then donate some of that. It all adds up fast as we blow a few bucks on Mickey D's, a few sodas, gas money etc. This engine needs gas money to run on too. Swez ttocs on 07/16/2004 17:26:14 I also say thankyou. We don't like to ask, but we try to beg tactfully... The site has had problems from time to time with funding, and we all were sad when it did. Walt invests his time to keep it going, no need for him to pay to do it....... Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
