what's up guys,
well, my buddy ordered that JBL 600.1 amp. he read a bunch of good reviews about it on the net. he is going to be using this amp with two 4 ohm alpine type r DVC subs. was this a good choice?? also, is parallel, 1 ohm sub/amp wiring the way to go with this?? he wants maximum loudness.

i have personally heard this amp on the subs your buddy has and they will kill.and about the wiring i would go with 1ohm but monitor its heat level and if it cuts off alot i would change it but saying all that this amp is 1ohm stable so go for it

Yep, this will work fine at 1 ohm. JBL has rated them safely at 2 ohms but will do the same power at 1 ohm loads. Might get a bit warm though... if he pushes it hard for long hours.

PS If he goes sealed... no prob. But he chooses a ported box design, this amp will need a subsonic filter to protect his subs.
