what's up guys,

i have a buddy that has two 4 ohm alpine type-r 12's. he can spend only $350 on an amp, and wants to get one that will make the subs as loud as he can for that amount of money. he prefers incredibly loud bass over quality.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

the rockford fosgate bd1000 is a bad ass amp and runs for about that price maybe a little cheaper new on ebay but it may cause a drain on your electrical system

i think that amp is too powerful for two type-r 12's. type-r's are 300W rms, and i have read reviews of that amp putting out over 1000 watts rms.

he's looking for something that is 300x2 rms, but there is very little out there from what i have found.

thanks for the input.

and u will probaly want a 1 channel amp with the 2 4ohm subs or maybe if u want to run them in stereo a 1ohm stable 2channel
the jbl powervalve 600.1 would also be a good choice

Agreed... JBL Powervalve BP-600.1 is a good match for them as would be the HiFonics 600D or a Kicker 600.1. Use a Class D or T mono amp as these are much cheaper and deliver good raw bass power w/o all the current draw typical of 2 channel amps.

Check out the amps listed in this post for more options:
