Uhmmm.... which filter are we discussing here? There are several on some amps?

HPF = High pass filter for mids/high (~80 Hz and up is a good start)
LPF = Low pass Filter for subs (~80 Hz and down is good here too)
SSF = SubSonic Filter (set at port tune freq or slightly higher, depending on the slope of the filter)

If your SS filter is below PTF, (Port Tuned Freq.) bad for the subs at high output levels. The greater the slope of the filter used, the better.
(-12dB/octave fair, -24dB/octave even better)

PS No dumb questions on technical matters we are unsure of... just don't ask about love life issues here. We're not Dr. Phil here ya know...lol

Talkin about the SSF here swez..i set it to 40Hz...got the install done today..well...its not pretty yet but its functioning and we tested it out. DANG I cant sit in it at high volume for more than a few minutes..start feeling sick. The MOFOs are awesome along with the amp..i dont even have it at full power and its thumping that much. Money well spent and now...its time for more hahaha. Anyways ill let ya know the numbers on the meter when i get a chance to run down to a stereo shop. Also i installed my 200amp alt today...at loud volume the lights dim just a little bit but not at higher RPM. Still going to add another alt and a Bank of batteries before i spend the money for more subs.
