i suggest the clarion DXZ835MP i have one in my wifes vehicle and they are really nice decks with wonderfull features and great sound quality very simple to use once you figure the interface out..... if not that then the alpine would be my second choice....

also alpine and clarion both have amazing customer support which is a great thing i'm unsure of there other companies as i have never delt with there customer support.

I prefer the Alpine, but it is all in what you want out of your HU..
Don't be misled by the output levels either.. Clarion boasts the max, while Alpine advertises RMS at a normal operating voltage (CEA compliant). I also like the digital time correction on the alpine units

hmm i was just looking at the alpine units after reading your post kittle i think i like alot of there features alot and the fact they list RMS voltage is very nice.... i would be very torn now between the alpine and clarion....

I liked alpine until I started installing them, then I loved them. Very solid units with great features, good pwr, and wonderful reliability. It is rare a customer comes back with problems........

Thanks for all the help guys, I guess I'll go with Alpine, I wasn't too shure after I read this, I guess Sounddomain has some issues with Alpine... http://www.sounddomain.com/brand?id=ALP

hm, that is interesting that they would post that. I suspect the RF also has a higher markup as well.... Rf makes a good deck, they just don't have the history in the deck business that alpine does.
