ok guys i was thining right now i have a 125watt PG amp tantrum series. running my front set of CDT components that can take 130watts. i was thinking that if i goto a 85x4 avionixx amp that i would lose like 2db from my front speakers which although very small i did not want but. i would also raise my rear speakers by like +6 or 7 per speaker in power since i would then be amping them. so it would be louder and clearer then with the 85watt per channel amp. is this line of thinking correct? just want to double check Replies (1) Pinch on 06/25/2004 13:37:12 I have learned that CDTs really like having as close to rated power as possible. I've had both the HD and the ES 3-ways and they seem to really warm up with more power. I don't know what you're running in the back, but IMO I'd run the back speakers off the deck (or a small secondary amp) and keep the 125 watt PG amp on those awesome fronts!
