looks like you are in a little bit of a space crunch there, i havent worked with trucks too much in my experience, so it might be better to ask ttocs.

ttocs u got this one? :)

I have done those and worse. A dakota is not too bad. If I remember correctly there is enough space under the seat for an amp or two... If that is the case you should be able to get 2-10"s back there. I put a single 10 and two descent size amps in a ranger, and they are a little worse then the dakota's..

What are you wanting out of it? What is the price range?

wow, my reputation precedes me... he didn't say I was a good speller too did he, then you know he is lying...

There are a number of companies that now make boxes for make/model specific vehicles.. There is always the option of a bazooka or similar product. I used to have a 91 ranger regular cab myself, now a 97 extended cab. I went through every single sub configeration that could be done without cutting the back wall. I started with two bazooka 6.5" subs behind the seat(all I could fit), and a small amp to pwr them. Switched amps a bit and eventually moved up to 2 - 8" JL subs in seperat boxes.. After that I moved up to a single 10"....

I always liked the bazooka's best.. With the two of them firing into the side of the truck the bass was just a bitt fuller then the two others firing onto the seat. they are a simple install if you get the self amplified ones.. I am not famiar with the current price on them, but they could fit into that range if I remember correctly...

Ttocs... you are famous... or is that infamous? I get those two terms confused sometimes... THINK

Infinity makes a very nice little package for small space sub installs. The BassLink (X) series has a powered (200 watts) 10" sub w/ passive radiator. You can expect good clean, accurate bass from this package, but not a "knock out your window" pounding SPL.

Have a look for specs and features: http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-2eNGzM8Qftv/ProdView.asp?s=0&cc=01&c=10&g=51000&I=108BASSLIN

www.justwoofers.com for better prices
http://www.justwoofers.com/Woofer_Pages/Infinity/infinity_BassLink.htm $229.99 USD

http://www.justwoofers.com/Woofer_Pages/Infinity/infinity_BassLink-X.htm $249.99 USD

Better prices if you search the web a bit too... the only thing about this package, if you want lots of deep thump from Rap music, this may not be your best choice. This unit is good for Rock, Techno and R&B. The internal crossovers are useful, but with limited cone size, extreme low thump at high SPL is not gonna happen. It will give you good low end bass... but not huge bump and thump of larger systems out there.

In short, be realistic about your expectations or plan to do some major work inside the cabin, to get more bass.
