I just bought 2 10' alpine subs, and i was wondering if 12' would make that much of a difference, and if it would be worth the money or not.

12" well get a little lower then the 10's but wont be much louder. honestly i had 2 10" alpine type r's and everyone thought they where 12's till i showed them.

A pair of 10's can do a very nice job at bass in the proper enclosure. It really depends on the enclosure siz and type of enclosure used.
Say more on which Alpine subs you have now and what amp you have (or would like to use) in this install and we'll try to give you some ideas.

They are alpine type E's, basically i like most sorts, rap kinda, rock, some country, wide range. the 10's that i have are 600 watt. peak power.

I suggest a Class D MONO sub amp with 300-500 watts RMS @ 2 ohms will do the job. Here are a few suggestions you can search via Google or E-bay.
