Im keen on building a 4th or 6th bandpass box these holidays but i do not pocess the knowlage of how to do it correctly. (note the sub i want to build is not for a car but rather for my room). I dont know how to build the box to the correct specifications. SOMEONE please help! Julz Replies (1) swez on 06/15/2004 13:28:56 Here's some background reading on Sealed, Ported and BP enclosures to bone up on. http://www.bcae1.com/spboxnew2.htm You need to know the specs of your sub(s) and if they will be satisfactory in a BP enclosure. Some do not do well at all in BP enclosures. A very efficient design... but can sound very muddy or honky is design is wrong. Also, consider a ported enclosure as they tend to be more natural sounding and can be tuned low enough to get some great low end bass at higher than average efficiencies.
