Yes,what is the best deadener to use?And that has a good price?THINK Replies (3) snipe523 on 06/15/2004 10:57:35 About the cheapest stuff you can find is peel and seal. You can find it at Lowes in 6" by 25' rolls for 12 bucks. swez on 06/15/2004 13:43:07 "Ice Guard" is similar and used in roofing to prevent ice dams from forming at the lower end of a roof. (Home Depot or Lowe's) This one is ~30-36" wide and come in a roll of maybe 15 -30' long. Very heavy stuff too. If you use this... let it sit on the driveway (foil side down) to heat up a bit. This makes it soft & pliable, easy to work with and very tacky. This product has a reflective surface on one side, a sticky tar like adhesive on the other and sandwiched with a moisture barrier of composite deadening material. Cheap, heavy duty and very good on flat horizontal surfaces. Not sure how well this one does on vertical surfaces like door panels and trunk lids though. On hot, sunny days, this product may peel back on vertical and inverted applications. Swez PS Some like "Brown Bread" or "E Dead" for doors and vertical panels. http://www.edesignaudio.com/edead.htm Bassmafia on 06/15/2004 23:15:10 I might try a combination of Brown bead & Peel & Seal Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
