Or is it Flexiglass? I want to do a cool installation. Is this expensive? At the most I would want it an inch thick 37" wide 16" tall. Also I'm not into fiberglassing but if you have info on the price of that and where to get it. What is a good video to buy if I was interested in learning about it? Replies (4) uochronos on 06/4/2004 14:34:48 therte are most likly several plexi glass plases in your area. here in portland oregon its tap plastic thats the biggest. there are many types of plexi glass and acrylics so price can vary alot. i paied 20$ for 2 pieces that are 6" by 9" that had a hole cut in the center. and that was 1/2 inch thick i would think a sheet thats as wide and tall as you want and an inch thick would be about 100$ for a sheat of the cheaper stuff. what do you need this for? seems unless a whole wall of a box is going to be plexi then you could go with thinner then 1inch. let us know what your using it for. as for fiber glass goto alpine's web site and under demo cars they show step by step how they made the whole interior out of fiber glass. it is very helpfull Noid on 06/4/2004 14:53:30 I want the sides of my box to be made of glass so that I can see the 3D flame design on the back of the sub. I'll have the sub horizontal in the tunk. If I install two the will be facing each other. And I'll to put a mirror inside the bottom of the box with a neon. I want to place the sub, or subs if it will be easier to install two, so that I can pull down my rear seat and see the sub. The measurement is of the hatch in the back of the trunk that leads inside the car. If that's too complicated, i was planning to just build a box with the top made of plexiglass and have it in the front of the trunk (rear most part of the car) facing inside. And dress the box up with pipes to make it look like an engine in the trunk. With Neons of course. uochronos on 06/4/2004 15:18:00 mattering how powerfull these subs are you well need better plexi because you dont want cheaper stuff that well flex. if your willing to spend the money this well work but i think your looking at well over 100$ just for the plexi Noid on 06/4/2004 16:49:17 Price is fine if I get the turnout I want. Installation is only going to cost beer money. They guy i have installing it did great with a enclosed patio for my aunt. I guess I'll ask someone at home depot where to get plexiglass in my area.
