OK i finaly decided and order a A15AE elemental designs woofer got a great deal 210$ shipped its a factory refurb with warranty. spent all day today working on a custom box for it for my 2003 ford r4ander 4 door. basicaly the box replaces one of the seats and snuggly bolts down to the seat bracket it looks almost oem i'm very please with out com. here is the one part i'm unsure of though. we built a 4 inch box under the box to work as a amp rack it looks very nice. the amp housed withen well be a Avionixx 1200.2. i plan on installing fans some blowing in and some sucking out. how many fans should i install? i was thinking 2 in 2 out but i dont want to under cool it i would much rather go over. second question is i was going to jumper the fans off the amp but i only want the fans on when amp is on can i run the fans to the remote wire for the positive? or is this a bad idea? alright thanks as always for any help you can give.

2 and 2 should be fine, you can always add more if it should shut down. You would be better off using a relay to switch the fans, as well as the amp. You can use the pwr comming off the amp to pwr the relay, but this will ease the strain on the remote out. Go to radio shack and get a standard bosch relay, you can also find them at autozone er where ever. the pin number are next to the pins on the bottom of the relay. Wire 86 to ground(amp), 85 to the remote lead(deck), 87 to +12 constant(amp), and 30 to your fans and amp The relay should make a clicking noise when the deck is turned on and off..

Yep, that should do it... REM on HU is a very low current circuit. (200-300 milli-amps @ 12 volts) Just enough power to activate the relay solinoid.... just follow the mans' (ttocs) directions and you'll be good to go.
