pioneer HU problem

what's up guys. i haven't been posting because i got my job installing at circuit city and i have been very busy. i have learned a lot of stuff, and swez you called it saying that i would have to look out for experienced installers who are jerks. there is one where i work and he is a jerk.
anywho, i am off today and i have a question. a friend of mine has a pioneer HU, maybe 2 years old, and the sound stopped working after he hit a bump yesterday. it still powers up, and i checked all of the connections and everything is hooked up fine. i even hooked up an alpine deck and it worked fine too. what could have possibly caused his speakers to stop working with the pioneer HU??

thanks,

did you try disconnecting the pwr and letting it reset? Also try measuring the speaker impedence, and impedence relative to ground. Could have a shorted speaker, although the alpine should not play either, unless it is an older model. Have you tried bench testing the pioneer?

I have been to a few shops now and been lucky to always have a pretty good crew. There was one guy that I did not like much, but he did not last long. There are alot of big heads in this injury with easily damaged ego's....
