Next ensure the HU is grounded good under the dash...a bare metal connection is far better than using the stock grounding wire...how knows how long that ground wire is. ttocs on 06/1/2004 23:42:24 we need to start simple first, and work our way up... Did you have both a +12v constant, and a +12v switched? Did you check the fuses? What kind of radio is it? noonan on 06/2/2004 03:57:31 Hey... thanks for your help... The eha dunti does work.. i took it to a guy at a audio shop and he tested the hea dunit but wanted $60 a hour to see if he could find the problem so i thought i would ask you guys forst.. i have tried grounding the wire and still no power... i have got both a +12V constant and a+12v switch and its the same connection as my previous tape deck.. The ehad unit is a Sanyo .... Regards Noonan ttocs on 06/2/2004 11:18:44 A bench test would take 3 min.. I have never really understood why people would charge for that.. I always saw it as a great way to help a customer. so you have checked these wires with a voltmeter? then we can move on. I would start testing the speakers impedences(ohms) next noonan on 06/2/2004 20:53:01 Yeah i took the headunit and the wiring harness abck to the car audio (Gem Car Audio) and he took it away, presuuming to do a bench tests and came back said that the head unit powered up.. i have checked all my wiring with a voltmeter... its really giving me the ****s!
