Well my dads friend gave me a pair of Orion HCCA 6s that he never used new in the box, I know that they are a little older but I've read many good reviews on them. The thing is, I was planning on getting JL XR650-CSi component speakers but i was wondering if the Orions are just as good or better and maybe it would make more sense to keep them instead of buying the JLs. So i would like to know which speakers would be better the Orions or the JLs. Heres some info on the speakers. Thanks

Install them, and if you do not like them then get the JL.

Agreed... free is a real deal for speakers of this quality and power handling ability.
As for the JL's... probably a notch or 2 up on the Orions in terms of pure SQ... but why spend $300.00 (or more) just to have JL on the name plate.
Try em and be sure you have them amped adequately to get the most from them.
